Nothing!

This morning as I sat and stared out the window, Romans 8:39 popped into my thoughts.  ..."nothing can separate us from the love of God...."  I glanced down on my desk and noticed a twenty dollar bill, an ipod, a cell phone, and a to-do list.  These things can surely rob us from time with God, but I think Paul is going much deeper here.  Our successes, our failures, our sin, our works, our relationships (good or broken), our abilities, our inabilities, . .  None of these can separate us from the love of God.  If we feel separate from God today, it's not God.  Go ahead, reconnect with the God who loves you inseparably!

  1. Ya know, I've often wondered if "NOTHING" can separate me from God, does that include myself? Lately I've felt so far from the Lord, and I know it's something (or many things...) I've done, or NOT done is probably more appropriate. Trying to get a fire rekindled, but pick up the Word and its dry. I pray, and I feel connection, but see no change. Church has even been strange for me. Worship has been good, messages not to bad, but an overall dread, and it's totally NOT based on visiting with God. Very strange.

Depressing, huh? Don't mean to be, just being real, and your message spoke to me.

So what's the new endeavor / ministry?

  2. Thanks for being real. I'm glad you are still trying to "rekindle" God's love in your life. Keep at it but don't try to hard. I find God's love shows up more in the ordinary day to day stuff when I don't stress out too much about it. That's kind of one of my goals for this year; to see God in the ordinary.

    Shalom!
